Hi everyone,
The insides of the headlamps on my marea are very dusty. Looking at them there seems to be some spring clips around the edges of the lens. Do the front covers come off if you pop those clips off?

Thanks Bulldog, I don't think I will bother with that.

What I might do is see if they can be cleaned out using purified water which is what hi tech window cleaners use these days and also the car wash system I have. When you rinse something with purified water it dries cleanly as there are no mineral salts in the water to cause streaks or water marks. I will let you know if it works.:)

Please keep in mind that not only the dust is your problem...
Below you can see how the reflectors look like before and after I sent them for restoration.

I have same problem.
Do you know what temeperature is enough for that operation.

Wow, where, what procedure, cost?

Sorry for the very long delay buddy... I didn't have quite time to check the forum.
It cost me 20 euro here in Bulgaria. The company that refurbish them is Evertlak. If you still need more info - let me know.

Dip in the acid and silverplating. Or is that chrome? For 20euros it sounds cheap but looks good. Could do mine, but local places seem to ask more.

These looked better after I dipped them in battery acid for a test, but cant do the plating myself...

I am not sure how to determine if it is chrome or silver plating but they looked very well. Almost 2 years since I mounted them and they are still perfect. The opposite side of the reflectors was black smoked by the factory for some reason.
