Hi guy just bought a 2001 JTD 110 with a gearbox fault, just woundering if anybody knows if the gearbox from a TD100 bravo will fit. As far as I no the block is the same and it was just the heads thats were different. Any help or input would be great.

Dave.

The gear ratios are the same for both boxes including reverse, but the final drive is 3.15:1 (gears with 20 & 63 teeth)in the JTD box & 3.353:1 (17 & 57 teeth) in the TD100.
The boxes are listed as type C.510.5.21 for the JTD & C.510.5.17 for the TD100. Don't know what that means though.
If the boxes look the same I'd be tempted just to swap the final drive gears.

Any mackerel inshore at Porthcawl then? (Merthyr originally & Pontarddulais now - R reg 125TD Weekend)

ok had a look around and can only find a 105jtd box, will this fit or can you tell me when I can find this information please?

Dave.

I downloaded Torrents of the Marea manual (huge PDF files) from somewhere but I can't remember where! Do a Google for it or check the search on this forum, I seem to remember a thread on it early this year or late08.

As far as I know the 105 & 110 use the same box?

c.510.517 is the td -1910 range gearbox.
c.530.531 is 2387 td -range gearbox
so, from the fiat tech data i have , and as previously said , yes this gearbox should be ok
as said to double check i would look through the forum

Its drives very well and pulls just aswell throught the box, not as much towing power but thinking of getting it chipped. Got a few more changes to make, Goin to change the tow bar to detable tow bar off a 2.0 I am breaking, already fitted the poly headlights and taken the wheels off the 2.0. Going to upgrade the brakes to HLX ones on the front and fit the discs to the rear. Other than that not really sure what else are taste full mods on the marea. Any ideas guy?

Dave.

Brakes may not fit - the bolts are larger on the 2.0 and wont fit through the 1.9's hubs - well it didn't on the 2.4TD marea I tried to fit to Bunny's 1.9JTD Bravo.

There is a very very rare spoiler which sets the back off beautifully... No idea if such a thing is still available.

Yeh seen on here before I think it make the back of the cr look really smart. I think its great, I get loads of stick off my mates only being 19 and driving a marea. But the Fiats I've had have always been the car towing people home lol.

Dave.
