Hi all,

I am a newbie in this forum, and I own a Marea 2.0 20V ELX. I think my car has problems somewhere as I am not a technical person, and hoping that you guys can point me in the right direction.

My Marea is not as powerful as it used to be since I brought it 2 years ago, where should I begin to look at to improve this? My car has only been serviced in the summer with spark plugs changed.

Also the second question is about the cambelt, my car has done 67k and it is a R reg. Should I get it changed soon? does this help with the power loss? and also roughly how much will that cost? I live in the midlands, any good garage you guys can recommend me?

Thanks in advance!

Hi welcome to the forum :)

cam belt wont affect power but its best to get it changed fiat will charge £1000, but some smaller garages charge half that, its a big job on them,
power loss could be some thing simple like blocked air filter, or fuel injector try new filter and a bottle of redex injector cleaner in your next tank of petrol,

Oh yes! it's always a shocker when someone asks "how much is a camblelt change".It's a lovely engine but a right ARSEHOLE to work on when it comes to routine maintainace (n)
