got water coming inside every time it rains.passenger side at heater box.can see it running in but cant figure where from.any ideas?appreciate any help.by the way its a marea weekender.r reg thanks

Sounds like its coming in through the pollen filter. There should be a soft rubber seal across the top of the pollen filter panel that seals against the bonnet. Check around that area. Take the pollen filter panel off and check for signs of water.

Other options would be sun roof drains blocked and ariel connector.

EDIT: Oh and welcome to our forum :) Hope you enjoy it.

thanks polecat.seal around filter ok.also drains ok.could it be windscreen seal?

Possible but unusual.
Water leaks can be difficult to trace. Try pouring water in various locatios and testing that way.
Most likely area will be in bonnet/windscreen drain area. You could also check any areas where pipes/cables go through the bulkhead.

Two tricks to use,
1. Sprinkle talc around inside car and heater inlets to trace water runs
2. Very dilute whitewash or poster paint can be used to drench the car, you can then trace back any leaks, careful with this as it can damage upholstery/trim.
