I have bought a marea HLX 130 jtd weekend 1999 model and is wondering if it have remote central looking there is a button on the key but all it does is that a small light flashes on the key and the doors don't do ****. I have central looking on the car but the dealer as I don't trust about this said this car did not have a remote looking

If you look at the centre light console in the roof of the car you should see two alarm sensors, a small button and an led light. I'm not certain but if this is fitted and the led activates when you push the button then I would expect that the radio alarm is fitted. I would expect that an HLX would also have central locking.

Can you ask another dealer? You may get a different answer if they think they are going to get some money off you.

If you phone Fiat HQ Customer Services they can tell you everything about your car with the chasis number.

Get them to fax it in writing too as that'll be exactly as it is on their system.

Thanks for all the answare I will defently have alook at the centre light console and see what it got up there Also will go and phone some othere dealer as this one is not to helpfull.

Ok I have the reciver in my centre light console and there are 2 bouttons there when I push the key nothing happens it lights up but no doors open.
Can I reset the alarm in some way I have the red key and the 4 digit code to Also I have got 2 small strange keys whit the car looks like some keys to a bike lock???

The two small keys are to switch the alarm on/off. The key switch is behind a small cap in the right hand fuse compartment. (Under dash on right hand side, 2 or 3 screws in cover.)

I have posted a reply on how to set up the remotes recently. Got to dash out now but if you cannot find it i'll have a look tonight.
