what do you think of my freshly rebuilt 1600 marea engine bought her for a song loads of engine mods done lightined and balanced bottom end and a fully worked over head ported and polished the works let me know what ya think thanks

It looks excellent but will the bonnet close air filter looks as though it would stop it

yejust about close's i'm lookin to make up some piping to put the filter where the air box should be any ideas

Go to an exhaust fabricators, they'll knock one up no problem.

i'm a mechanic myself tryin to get the pipe seems to be the probelm i was thinkin of just gettin one of those jap universal induction pipes and chop it to fit

Thats the original thread. Ebay is where the parts come from but original links are unsuprisingly dead. Shouldn't be too hard to find alternative bits though.

i think i'll buy one of those jap pipes at the weekend and try and fit it i know its a mortal sin to put jap parts into a fiat i'm sorry

What clean engines, and engine bays. I will not be posting a pic of mine.

i use alloy ehell acid its great removes all the oil etc

another option is to use the black rubber pipe that connects the original airbox to the intake scoop. you dont want to take the one off your car, so get one from a scrap car. it just so happens to fit perfectly, as you can see in the following pic:
