Hi...quickish Q

I had a PCT towbar installed on my Marea Weekender (1.8 petrol 2000 W reg)

Its ok, but my Pennine Camper sits a bit low when hooked up and sometime the jockey wheel catches the floor when I go over highish raod humps (which I try to avoid).

Is there any way I can get the rear suspension hieightened by a few inches ?

Thanks in anticipation

Have you checked the springs are in good condition? perhaps some spring assisters?

is the towball at ok height until you hitch up? Nose weight too much?

Hi yep about the same height as you have

But I also have a lot of stuff in the boots which makes it even lower.

Any idea how much spring assisters are to get fitted ? How much do they raise it by ?

Thanks again

Hi thanks

yes these may do the trick.

Probably wont help raise the height of the suspension, but wil stop it getting lower when fully loaded.

The Towquipe ones look a good deal (if they come in twooz).

Thanks for your help chaps.

Cheers
Steve

The springs within a spring are a better solution, the other ones just remove some of the spring travel thus stiffening them. The spring within a spring effectively stiffens the whole spring, but with same amount of travel available. The 'doughnuts' ones could bring spring failure around sooner as they're making 2/3rds of the spring do the work of 1 whole spring.
