hi ,jve bought a fiat marea x reg ,when i got the car i only got 1 blue key and no red key and now the engine wont start and the orange keycode light stays on ,if i keep turning the ignition sometimes it starts but not very often ,can anyone give me some advice , cheers ,graham

Sounds like transponder in your key has gone, so you need another key cutting and programming. You normally need the RED key to reprogram any new keys but there are places that can apparently recode you a new key from our old blue one, get it done ASAP before your current blue key gives in the ghost all together.

it wont be the key imo, they are bullet proof.

most common fault is the connection at the aerial on the ignition switch (wiggle its wire)
and also the connection at the codebox behind the dash (wiggle its wire)
and alsop a rusty immob fuse holder in the engine bay (clean it)
