Hi,

I bought and installed VDO's Comfort Lock remote central locking to my marea weekend. Locking is working ok, but I have a problem with door contacts. VDO locks doors again is 30 seconds. It can be canceled by ignition and door opening. Canceling by ignition works well. How should I connect them, so I can cancel the automatic locking when door or boot is opened?
VDO has wiring for negative and positive contact.

Hi,

I know that, jug. And it's working like that at the moment. Now the central locking do not know if the doors are open. It just try to lock doors, and if one or more is open unlocking is done by Marea's ABI unit. As I wrote earlier automatic locking feature can be canceled by opening doors or boot. VDO also has a feature that flashes lights when door is open and you try to lock doors. For that I need signals from the door contacts.
I found out the door wiring already and the boot wire I should check out. That means that I have to connect five wires to one wire I VDO's console. I think I should use diodes, if I want the signals which show which door is open to work correctly.
Is there an easier way to do it? I just need a signal which tells that door is open?

in that case you need to use the wires from the door pins, these are the small black plastic pins that switch the interior light on and off with the door.
