i'm afraid they arnt cheap, £220-£240

you will need the hoses aswell as you will never manage to seperate them.

see if AlternativeAutos can get it for you, if not Fiat may be the only option

Unless you live in a hot climate you probably don't need it! Have you considered having your old one refurbished?

Otherwise try other JTD models.

Re: Cheapest place to get an oil cooler for 2.4TD?

Tell me about it bulldog - local dealer says price is 240, and the most discount he can give brings it down to 210. Already spoken to AlternativeAutos, and they can't supply one. Pipes look okayish and my mechanic recons he can get them off - but you're right - pipes can be a real pain.

@hellcat - had a guy in Middlesbrough who messes around with race cars look at it this afternoon. He recons he can cut the rubber section of pipes and fit some connectors for a universal cooler. He also said if it was his car, he'd by-pass the cooler too.

I'd consider a repair but I need to take the cooler off I guess for someone to have a look.

When you say try other JTD models, do they all share the same connectors?

By-passing the cooler looks like a more attractive proposition the more I think about it.
