as title, i will be looking for a weekend soon (couple of months or so) due to the impending arrival of my first lilun (will be the better halfs second hence the need to upgrade)

my plan of attack is to try and get hold of a decent shell (no rust minimal dents etc) for as little as possible with engine woes and then swap everything over from my HGT (has some dubious and worrying signs of crash damage, but mechanically is sweet)

if anyone knows of anything suitable i would be very grateful, my weekend i have is rotten trough and a complete dog! and as im going to be changing the cambelt and clutch on the hgt i may aswell use the engine and a few other bits accordingly

bring on the extra space! (not looking to do this too soon, still cant find the bottle to break it to the parents that they will be grandparents in 6 months)

your a brave man, if you are going to do it you should go all out and build a marea turbo

just to make your life easier you should match 147 to 147 or 155 to 155, if you mix and match you'll get issues with the fly by wire systems

Ry, had thought about that, just forgot to post about it... as you can probably guess, heads a wee bit all over the show currently! ill be after a 147 weekend if poss (so mk1) but if it comes down to it i can strip everything bare and start with just a shell easily enough, its not hard!

as for the turbo, had thought about it i must admit, will be doing an insurance quote soon

Luis, that would be great if you could please fella, would prefer as i say physically sweet with a decent interior (until i can get the interior i want...) engine doesnt have to run, but must be transportable and have wheels on it

want an entertaining family car, so its either a 20v (t) marea weekend, ovlov 850t5r, legnum vr4 or something similar!

I'll be putting mine up for sale (on Fiat Forum's classified pages of course) in about 3 or 4 weeks. It's a W reg JTD130. Currently with no MOT but that's why it'll be 3 or 4 weeks yet. Low milage (72K) recon gearbox and new clutch about 7K ago. Belts and pulleys changed at 57K. Service history to 46K and then serviced by the independent I always use since. Loads of other new bits over the last 2 years.
I need to do a few things to it before it goes for MOT. One rear seatbelt is frayed. It'll probably fail on one front lower wishbone but I've already bought a pair to fit. Loads of bits with it as well (spare alloy, hidden towbar with bike carrier, 6 CD multichanger, proper Fiat roof bars and a box of bits that I can't remember whats in it. Nice leather interior too.
I'm only selling it because I needed a 7 seater so I bought a Doblo.
If you want to PM me that's OK but I'm going on holiday Friday so I won't be able to answer just yet.
