i have a 1.6 2001 sx. i broke down last night,the engine turns but doesnt fire up .it seems like the engine isnt getting any fuel (the plugs spark the crank turns)the fuel pump is working. has anyone got any advice or has had this problem.
i would be gratful for any input to help me thanks

fuel cut out maybe?

its under the passenger seat, little rubber button, just push to reset then try starting

can you hear the pump priming when you turn the ignition key?

the pump is priming i think had the aa come and he checked the pump u can hear it with th ignition on and tried the fuel cut off switch.

and you deffinatly have spark?

are there any lights on the dash?

yeah the aa check for a sperk and all plugs were health and all the lights on the dash are on to.

hi to all again, here an update.i got the car running yesterday after changing thecrank sensor,which work ok .this mornin i just when out to start it was fin when it got up to temp,the engine stared to over rev any ideas please

how could you have sparks when the crank sensor was faulty, thats not possible

high idle rpm when warm is usually due to a faulty idle speed controller on the 1.6, but you should try cleaning the throttlebody first.
