| Banned | Rev counter problems Ive got a problem with the Marea. Its been there since I bought it and I just assumed it would be a loose/dodgy connection. Basically, the rev counter intermittently works. Ive never seen it work for more than about 5 mins at a time but it does work, when it wants to! All the other dials appear to work fine. Just that the rev counter doesnt. Just sometimes. Ive pulled the dial unit out and checked the circuit board for anything obvious. All connections look clean and so do all the wires at the dash end. Could it be the whole dial unit at fault or is it still possible to be a dodgy wire somewhere? Also to go with the subject, is it possible to swap any dial unit from say a bravo or a brava of any style? Does all the wiring fit correctly? Cheers

| blessed are the apostates | Re: Rev counter problems best thing to do is bang your fist above the counter, if that ever has any effect then you know the problem is at the rev counter. failing that it could be a bad connection elsewhere, but obviously not at the crank sensor if you do not have starting problems. i dont think you can fit the later digital cluters to an earlier car, but i havent tried it. | ||
