wheres the fuel filter located?, cant find it at all

You have to lift the rear tyre, (right side) & you have to remove the plastic protective covers with 5 screws beside the fuel tank in order for you to access the filter.

bizzarre but it isnt there, had a fiat ex mechyanic look and he was too stunned to find it not there...

question is why...[?]

open your boot and lift the carpeting. you can get to it that way. may help with locating the thing

Easy being not an ex fiat mechanic, I bet your vehicle is a late model 98 on ish. They don't have fuel filters nor do any petrol fiats now. The filtration unit is in the pump.
