Have a Marea 2.4TD and have noticed recently that in the morning when using the heater in the car (to cool things down) it always blows warm air even though the temperature knob is on low. It continues for varying amounts of time before returning to normal. Driving home from work later on, the heater is normal i.e. cold on cold setting and hot on hot setting.

The car is fitted with air conditioning and this works as it cools the warm air coming in through the vents. It is not one particular vent but all of them. I am wondering whether there is a temperature sensor on the fans or the vents that is breaking down? I have read on other forums here (Cinquecento) that behind the vents etc there are sensors. Does anyone know if this is the same for the Marea? Anyone else had similar problems and fixed it?
