(T) ECU Reset

Hi
So I read that I am able to reset car's ECU ! Is it true?
My car is TD100 engine Weekend ! Has it ECU Reset? If I use the Reset what would happen?

A reset puts the mapping back to factory defaults. The car then relearns how you drive over the next c300 miles. Don't rag it during this time or it will expect you to drive like that all the time and you will have no low end performance.
To reset simply disconnect the battery earth for 30 mins.
