Hi Guys,
If anyone of you has come across the following problem then please, please help me out. I bought a new Linea T Jet Plus in the month of Nov, 2011. From day 1 problem started, I never thought that it could take an ugly turn. Day 1 of the delivery, they had to jump start the car. When I asked them the reason, they gave me a naïve reason that the car interior lights were left on a day prior to the delivery. In the excitement to bring the car home, I didn’t care that much. After 3 weeks, one fine morning I find that the car is not car cranking at all, the reason the battery got completely drained out. I had not used the car for last 4-5 days. Emergency service team came and jump started the car.
After few weeks again when the car was rested for close to a week, the same problem occurred. I reported the issue to big shots at fiat etc. They took my car, promised a solution to the issue. Kept the car for few days, said the issue was with battery and replaced the battery. I thought that things would have got resolved finally, when today again I find that my car is not cranking. Again I had not used the car for 7-8 days. Why its happening with Liena? Is this the fate of a new car. I had read somewhere that this could be because of AC relay issues. Even when the car is off the battery leaks because of some wiring/circuit problems. Those idiots at the service center have no clue on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

dear friend ,you do one think first switch off all the light and remove the battery lead while disconnection pl notice and any spark coming or you touch the lead again with battery terminal and watch any spark coming if coming some current drain from battery while switch off condition, you check dicky door and dicky light, open the dicky , touch and feel the heat of the bulb if its heat door switch faulty OK you check reply

Is the alternator ok? You should record something like 13.5v with the engine running, otherwise the battery is not being charged.

Hi all... Just back after a complete service.. Now most of my wheel mounted controls are not working.. Really feeling the pinch o the service.. Never had these issues.. Even a weird sound when I apply my brakes

So if my computation is correct, you still had this problem after 4 years and 8 months !!??

A very simple way to check for leakage is to disconnect the battery ground terminal and ohmeter measure the resistance between the ground cable terminal and the positive one. The circuit should be OPEN (infinite resistance).

Some math ?
Say you read 12ohm, the leak would allow 12volts : 12ohms = 1 ampère (I=U/R) which would half-drain a 240Ah battery in 5 days...

If someone here helped You understand, or better, fix your issue, hit the thanks icon @ bottom right corner, it's free and makes us feel helpy ;-)

Could try carrying out a parasitic draw test to see if there is anything.thay has gone faulty and causing battery to drain over night

Sure Charlie, I was just hoping the OP would have given some update... As too often it doesn't happen, ask, get answer and forget others :-(
