Damn... Its the KA isnt it?
Have been waiting for this as swmbo is interested, then we saw the pics.
I think it lacks the style prescence of the original 500, its too rounded and bland looking. (n)
I think its the size and low rake of the windscreen that seems out of proportion to the car, its fine below the window line.

i agree its a nissan micra or even the figro (sp the old looking thing that is big in the UK at min)

It looks nothing like anything else on the road.. you lot are impossible to please. With reference to the Micra, you dont think that Nissan drew inspiration from the original 500, being Jap they are used to copying everyone else!
It isnt being developed with Ford, its 100% Fiat, Ford are going to use the platform and some running gear for the new Ka as they are cash strapped.

well if it was a true 500, it would cost £3500 in today money ???

but it won't, it'll be panda price, like £5800-9800 I'd imagine.if it cracks under £5000 with body coloured bumpers and leccy stuff, it should sell ok, but there aren't many fiat dealers left now, nearest one from me was about 1mile, then another at 10miles, then another at 20miles, and then 23miles.

now the nearest one is 20miles, then 60-80odd

Similar here, if the local dealer closes in our area the others further afield, within reasonable range, have either lost the franchise or became `servicing only` dealers.
When I looked at the Fiat UK website, the network looks reasonable, but many of them are no longer new car franchises. Seems to me it makes the dealer network look more extensive than it really is.
I think the same car (500) as the new KA will take the lions share of the joint platform, Fiat/Ford venture due to the strength of Fords extensive dealer network. Must admit I feel quite dismayed about this.
