Well I thought it was too good to last but the Jaguars stay of execution is coming to an end as wifey has said it has got to go :-(

So, I have made a decision sort of to sell my pride and joy and go back to another Italian but am undecided, so thought I would open it up to ideas. I have come up with few contenders

1) 20V Coupe
2) 2.0i Fiat Spider
3) Late Alfa Spider (I fear the pre 1988 ones but not the new style)
4) Maserati 430 TT or Biturbo(I fear a repeat of this process though!)

Not really constructive, but thought i'd let you know my opinions (though they've largely been formed on looks alone:)).

1)The Coupe's a future classic (if it isn't already), I don't think you can go far wrong with one of these, espicially if it's the turbo? If not do your best to find a 20v LE version.

2)Fiat Spider-Going to be difficult to find one and not as nice as the alfa spider. You can get a Coupe 20vt for the same money.

3)Alfa Spider-Fantastic, beautiful car, my 2nd choice after the coupe.

4)Maserati-It's on the ugly side(sorry), expensive to buy and is bound to cost you a fortune to run.

Thanks Si
1) It isnt a classic now we will see in time to come - bit of an image issue.
2) I have seen various spiders for sale and I actually prefer the shapet to
3) yeah a beautiful car
4) thats the one then! The wife will then rue the day she told me to get rid of the Jag :)

Nige

I try to advise you another Italian legend:

She won:

6 times world rally championship in a row: 1987-88-89-90-91-92

various italian and other european national rally champioships

in 1992 Fiat thought which was time to get out with rally, and Abarth stopped the development plan of this car, but her don't agree with her mother... with a half-ufficial team: Jolly Club, won the 6th world rally championship... A legend!

Hers victories are famous in all over the world, maybe you knew her in the RAC rally, she is:

Lancia Delta HF integrale

If I could have one, I coldn't know if to sleep with her or my girlfriend... (I joke about this... |) but... not too... ;) )

cheers Nige! :)

Roberto

P.S.

From your options for me:

Fiat Coupè 2.0 20v but turbo....

designed and assembled by Pininfarina

220 cv (bhp)

310 Nm / 2500 rpm

0 - 100 km/h 6.3 sec

vel. max 220 km/h

Hi Roberto, Well done, I never thought about one of those! I'm off to investigate.

Thanks
N

my mate just bought a delta 1.6 GTie, its a pain to get parts for - even fiat take 2 weeks minimum and they own lancia!
they are lovely cars tho, but you'll be pushed to find a nice integrale that hasn't had the tits thrashed off of it, and if someone has taken good care of it, it won't be cheap. personally if it were my choice i would go for the alfa.
