| Alfa 156 Selespeed gearbox malfunction Recently purchased Alfa 156 Selespeed gearbox. Having trouble with the Select speed Gearbox when driving in traffic. Car takes off very jumpy manner and is very difficult to control at low speeds, behaves like car was running on "kangeroo" petrol. Car can rev to 3000-4000 RPM before engaging in first gear while taking off. The problem is very intermittent but happens usually after long period in traffic. any advice on rectifying problem gratefully appreciated kelly ned

| All Hail the Woodsman  | Re: Alfa 156 Selespeed gearbox malfunction Try over at Alfaowner.com http://www.alfaowner.com/aohome.php Some peeps on here reckon cold start kangaroo symptoms on the Stilo Selespeed are caused by faulty coil packs. Doesn't tend to happen when the car is warm though.
