Anyone tried one yet? Press reception in UK v lukewarm if not downright hostile. Looks like a fat Ford Ka to me.

try looking at the new suzuki 4x4 instead, its exactly the same (y) Has it been released for sale by fiat?

Personally its not for me, but fair play to fiat for having a crack at the 'schoolrun' market :)

same here, saw one at research garage nuneaton, looked quite good. muscular, broad and solid just like the panda 4x4.(y)

Sorry disagree Steve, loads Fiat parts used & I like its looks. They drive well (considering i'm not a 4x4 fan) and are sturdy, not tried the diesel yet just the 1.6 petrol. At £999 more than the 4x4 panda it looks a bargain(y)

No cigarette lighter is Jap.

Suggest having a drive in one, definately worth the money. One thing that did surprise me was that it was smaller than I thought it was going to be however roomy inside.

Hi Liam:D

Huge inside, good visability etc. But the gearbox felt notchy and under par even when warm, the other thing that annoyed me was the lack of a foot rest

Notchy as in going from 1st to 2nd?

Cant stand those footrests, liked them at first but kept trying to change gear while pressing down on rest insteard of clutch:rolleyes:

Saw an advert on Frog TV just now for it and the Panda 4x4, actually looked quite smart. Might be changing my mind about it.

Frog TV?

Yeah and 3rd to 4th. The gearbox just didn't feel right too me. Im used to the Punto, nice long gate so you know its in the right gear. The Sedeci had a short depth on the gate and didn't feel right, to me.

I just received an email from Fiat about this:

DISCOVER A 4X4 FOR THE GREATEST ADVENTURE OF ALL. REAL LIFE

Such beautiful looks are sure to ruffle a few head feathers down at
the school gates when you're picking up your lost tribe. Not that
other chiefs can say you've comprised safety over style – driver,
passenger and front side airbags come as standard. There's nothing
to fear from the herds of grazing shoppers at a rain drenched 'Lake
Supermarket' either.

Raised seating and a compact shape makes parking simple. Plus
generous interior space carries those essential supplies with ease,
while delivering class leading fuel consumption and low emissions.
And down in 'Pot Hole Valley' all-wheel-drive delivers better grip
to help you conquer the toughest road conditions. The Sedici has
everything you'd expect from a modern 4x4 designed for the real
world. Now that's something to bang your tribal drum about.

I got that email this morning as well...

Don't know if anyone else has realised, but the reason for the name is quite clever:

Sedici is Italian for Sixteen, 4×4 = 16....
