German sh*t-boxes ;-)

Maybe it threatens their world in some way? Not everyone takes the default option - some people are capable of free thought...I've noticed that those people tend to drive german boxes...
Cost.. value for money..
"German Engineering" - no thanks.:yuck:
That's just physics. Pressure = Force/Area. Plus it's a crumple zone...
Had an 8k itch to fill when I sold my racing mini because I'd given up on my attempt to become a club racer, the abarth 500 had been out for a year and there was one in a local garage it seemed loyal to buy that and do track days!
Missed him when I sold him for an unbranded estate I needed to cart around elderly people, unfortunately had an incident with said unbranded estate, so that got sold for something smaller....
We all know who makes the best smaller cars! Yes I got a panda!
Never laughed so much on a test drive! It made all the growly noises the abarth did, but without moving anywhere..just wish he was a few cm longer

Made in Germany:
Made in Italy:
Hmm, I know which one I'd go for

Btw,
Heidi Klum, Claudia Schiffer, Sandra bullock.... the latter being a stretch but was born to a German mother and raised in Germany.
Italian girls are too temperamental and unreliable.... like the cars [emoji13]
I seem to recall the girl in the advert pictured slaps him in the face.....
Oh and the actress in that add, Catrinel Menghia is Romanian
Having owned Fiats since the 80s I think they've improved relative to other makes. But I agree - the main reason I enjoy driving them is they are fun, enjoyable to own. They also seem to have 'personality' - maybe easier to anthropomorphise than other cars for some reason...Point being, nothing made in Germany is any better due to the fact it's made in Germany.. 'German Engineering' = marketing gimmick.
The old Mercedes of the 80s and 90s, probably some of the best built cars ever made. Same with Volvo's from the same era. Volvos weren't from Germany.
Today's German cars are just as sh*te in many ways as the rest of the over complex crap people are buying.
Fiats are far more fun ;-) regardless of BHP or 'plastic quality'
Claims or failures per 100 vehicles per year I think. No anyone who speaks Swedish? Is that breakdowns per 100 cars sold?
This link is worth a look. Data from a Swedish survey http://www.vibilagare.se/sites/vibilagare.se/files/images/2017/01/skadefrekvens_lansforsakringar.jpg
Yes it did kind of drift in that direction... I didn't start it sir! Honest! [emoji15]JUST "a look"
there were German "reliability" surveys posted last year on here..,
far more useful..,
one with "warranty claims" as a percentage.. like yours ( probably...)
the other - similar format, but using COST of repair also..
anyway all WAAY:Offtopic:
maybe start / resurrect a "why buy Italian Vehicles over others" thread
and HERE let people stick with WHY they got a FIAT..,
