Has anyone bought a replacement keyfob casing from the likes of ebay?

My GP key has worn rubber button covers, and a few pavement scars that i would like to resolve.

I've seen sellers that do just the rubber pads, and others with a complete casing.

What i'd like to know is, have any of you bought a replacement casing for your fob and key? And, did it all transfer from the old casing to the new without issue? Especially the keyblade. I don't want to fork out to have the keyblank cut.

It's been quite a while since i was on here, thought posting here was the best option as the keyfob was used on a few models.

I purchased one for my 500 on eBay, and I've purchased a replacement cover for about £2 a year ago. Both were fine. Only problem was my assembly skills of the key.

There have been a few threads on different models. The casings from Ebay seem to be OK.

Be very careful. The tiny glass phial containing the microchip is easily broken, then you're stuffed.

I think the only other model that used the same fob as the grande was the ducato van, which is why as suggested above it might be better to direct the question to grande owners

Older puntos had a single button, stilo was similar but still a different design. All new fiats use the fiat 500 style fob
