I currently own a manual lounge after years of driving an automatic honda jazz. I had been waiting for a fiat 500 in anything other than red (i hate red cars) that i could afford for quite awhile but became impatient and ended up buying a red one from a friend who knocked some money off for me.

I now miss driving an automatic and theres also a few other colours popping up at the same sort of price as mine which are also automatics.

My question is.. Are they any good? I find the manual quite sluggish at times pulling away and talking with friends and family, they reckon that an automatic would be even worse.

I've also seen dualogic 500's? What does that mean?

Dualogic is the FIAT term for a robotised manual gearbox..

Its basically a manual without a clutch pedal..

Not sure why your 500 is sluggish though..??

Unless its one of the EURO 6 EFFECTED ONES

TYPE DUALOGIC..OR EURO6

into the forums search for more info.

Thanks. I hadn't heard about euro 6 before but after a quick search it sounds exactly like the problems i am having.. sometimes it pulls away great and others it hesitates before doing anything. I will read more into that. The post i read didn't say if i could do anything about.

As for the dualogic, i think i'll just have to find one to try. I'm not really sure what to make of it. Sounds like it may take a bit of getting used to or it might just sound more complicated than it really is.

I'm glad to know that the sluggish thing isn't the norm for a fiat though as i absolutely love them but it had me off a little bit.

Thank you!
