Family Fiats...

S-Reg 132 1600
W-Reg 132 2000 Bellini

Mum now got 500 sport 1.2 (silver)
Sister now got 500 Lounge 1.2
Sister had:
Alfa 33 Green Cloverleaf (Silver, crashed and scrapped)
Alfa 156 1.8 (Silver, crashed and scrapped)

Me...
Lancia Delta 1300 (ok not a true Fiat) - crashed and replaced by:
1984 Supermirafiori 1400 TC (German)
K-Reg Panda 1000 CLX
M-Reg Tipo 1.4 ieS (Blue, still got it)
M-Reg Tipo 1.4 ieS (Silver, crashed and scrapped)
Y-Reg Brava 1.2 Formula

All the silver cars have met an unfortunate end except (so far) my mum's 500, but there isn't an undamaged panel on it I think!

Great minds think alike , It breaks mt heart to see Fiats in a scrap yard .

I'll quite cheerfully watch (relatively!) modern fords, vauxhalls, hondas, nissans, and rovers, etc get completely destroyed on the banger track, but I hate the thought of Fiats dying. In fact, I really wish I could have my old Punto mk2b and my parents old mk2 back, fully restore them, and keep them safe somewhere.

I'd hate to see my Panda ever in a scrap yard. If God forbid some thing should ever happen that requires its early retirement I was thinking I'd try to keep a part of it forever as a memory... Steering wheel, seat maybe..

* bonus question*
What would you keep or wish you had kept as a relic of your old Fiat?

Respect to everyone who has already posted above. That is a pretty cool list of Fiat cars that have been owned by you all!

I am only on my first Fiat - a new Punto 1.2 (although my dad did have a Fiat 128 saloon which was followed by a Fiat Strada when I was small) but there is something about it that has me hooked!

I would love to find an older Fiat as a project and save it from the great scrapyard in the sky. Just got to work out what would be top of the wishlist.... and affordable!

I'm quite happy with the pictures and the memories tbh.

I sold my Fiat 127 special in the 1980s for £200, one has appeared on e bay as a barn find not much different to the one I had and the bidding was over £3,000 last time I looked , if only I had a barn in the 1980 s and kept all my old cars I would be worth a fortune .

I would have kept my Fiat strada 65CL these cars never lasted more than 6 years , they were rusting in the first year of ownership so I dont think you will see any in the uk again, having said that though a Strada arbarth has appeared on e bay but its over £10,000.

If you have a earlier model 1.2 punto take a look under the bonnet , earlier models had the windscreen scuttle drain tipping water out on top of the brake servo and water will also enter into the footwell, later models have a bent pipe so the water misses the brake serve.

Thanks Michael, but my Punto was a 'fresh out of the box' 2016 model when I got it in January. The tip is helpful though as I had considered an early Punto as a project (one of the first and one of the last!).

Incidently, you mentioned your Strada was a 65CL. My dad's was too. A silver 3-door with period aftermarket Wolfrace alloy wheels (they were on it when he bought it). It looked really smart. Shame he part exchanged it some years later for Mk3 Ford Escort (that turned out to be one of the most unreliable cars he has ever had and it didn't last long...)

Here are my nine Fiats and three Alfas - the ones in red were bought new, the ones in bold are still with me! I wish I'd kept one of those Uno turbos....

1985 Uno 45
1986 Uno Turbo i.e
1987 Uno Turbo i.e
1988 Uno Turbo i.e
Antiskid
1990 Uno 45 (mk2)
