Does anyone know how to remove old underseal
Have tried scrapping it off but it still holds well
Reason being as the car is in my garage up in the air i have decided
To remove old underseal
Prime the complete floor pan
Paint and reseal

Any help would be awesome

Small (4 1/2" ?) angle grinder with wire brush attachments...

(e.g. Toolstation http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Power+Tool+Accessories/d80/Wire+Abrasives/sd1920 ) - that will remove most of it.

Followed by a good scraping with triangular and hooked decorators scrapers

(e.g. http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p58907 )

You will get covered in nasty crap and unearth many horrors but it is worth it.

Try a *good* hot air gun and scraper. If the underseal is susceptible to this approach then it is a much cleaner way and also does less damage to the underlying multicoat paint structures. If there is any rot / rust present then you can attack just those areas with the angle grinder / wore brush / drill treatment.

Probably one of the worst jobs to tackle. Hot air gun, wallpaper scrapers, wire brushes, white spirit wire wool. All will be needed and you WILL get covered in black crap which wont wash off in the shower. Good Luck!
