1954 Fiat Millicento

My buddy has had this thing for a few years and wants to sell it. I have an opportunity to pick it up fairly cheap- What is it worth? How available are parts for a body off restoration? Its a 4 door with suicide fronts and normal rears. No rust or body damage. Anyone have any information or pictures of one? Im having trouble finding anything online. Im into old vws- and a few guys have hung fiat bodies over vw drag cars but thats about all i know about fiats. Thanks

was one of the first cars to be mass produced in india (hook up by fiat and PAL) you might find you have to grub around there to get bits

Apparently the Premier Padmini was based on the Millicento.

Re: 1954 Fiat Millicento

there are bucket loads of premiers doing the rounds in india, taxis mainly, so parts if interchangable are not really a problem, actually the premier was my wifes very first car, tough and reliable, could take a real pounding on some very bad roads, but if you really want old cool, go for an ambassador, now they really rock

A Millicento in a good condition would be worth between Rupees 15000 (USD 300) and 25000 (USD 500) in India. I bought one a year ago. The parts are similar to the Padmini and hence not a big issue in India. Millicento is quite popular in Television ads in India.

Re: 1954 Fiat Millicento

a padmini! no offence but at my school they were the dubai equivalent of an 80's skoda. the plastic on the seats used to melt in the heat and stick to you. only a tata was considered worse. i always found it odd that india started to produce mk7 escorts when the focus came out in europe. they seemed better built than the british escorts, but you couldnt get colour coded bumpers or the better models (or even a 1.8 iirc). i wanted one when i was at school, but my dad used to joke that he'd buy me a padmini instead. i got a daewoo lanos in the end so i guess i was very lucky
