I f***ing hate Facebook but you can't argue that's the way the worlds going I'm affraid .

The thing I find rather ironic and annoying at the same time is people on the the well known facebook "fiat / punto" groups ask some STUUUUPID questions which are all on here and accessible from a simple search or in the guide sections :bang:

I remember the days everyone went to work and logged on to here and chatted all day about this that and the other. Those were the days

Sadly there are few jobs now John. There are 100000's of newly self employed people earning very little but scratching around to try to find ways to pay their bills. Not much incentive to waste your employer's time & resources (that was definitely a plus in the Civil Service!!). Still it's not all bad, I still find time to mess around online, and lots of these self employed people need my help!

P.S. I'm glad there are so many others who hate farcebook on here. Anything which demands you sign up before you can see it, gets a permanent swerve from me! Anyway, no one has ever managed to explain what the point is, and ends up telling me people post what they had for tea, or how often the baby/cat/dog/neighbour has been sick - I have no interest in this when it's my family, let alone anyone else's!!

Yes I'm a secret Luddite - I also really don't like the app & can't navigate easily, but find no problem with using the full site using a phone.

Sorry, bit bored - doesn't seem to be much going on in the Classic Panda section, or any of the others tonight!

Don't know how possible this is with the forum software but how about integrating facebook login into the forum? Allow users to post as their facebook user instead of a dedicated forum user?

Signing up to forums has long been a bit of a chore. Make a username, make a passwork xx characters long with capitals, numbers and symbols, fill out this captcha, make this jigsaw, verify your email and then.. wait god knows how long for an admin to verify your account before you can post anything... oh and then you can only post in so many sections until you have so many "thanks" or a high enough post count ... and then you get banned for not using the search...

I know here isn't as bad as that but i'm not surprised forums aren't as busy as they used to be and facebook is king. It's just so much easier to log in and be able to post anything anywhere.

I love it when I go to a website and want to register/login to find I can just whack my facebook email in and use that without having to register for anything A nice bit of intergration could work wonders AND serve as a bit of advertising on the users account posting what they've said etc.
