hi all.
my heads screwed....after the scudo been in two dealers.
both dont know whats up.
it just wont start when hot....they are now thinkn its an imobiliser problem.
if i buy a second hand ecu kit.assuming its the same 1.6hdi engine but from a c4 ecu.....can you swap them over...along with the key, transponder and bsi unit.

help help help.....

If it was an immo problem then it should do it hot or cold. You really need to take it to someone who knows what they are doing like an auto electrician. I presume they have tried things that can be heat affected like cam/crank sensors? One fault I have had on those engines is a sticking EGR valve, if it sticks open the lift sensor cuts the fueling. Try running it with it disconnected. Let me have the symptoms & i'll try and help.

I agree - its not an immboliser fault as this would cause the issues all the time

Common things that cause failures to start when hot

- Dying Crank sensor
- Engine temperature sensor mis-reading, giving an incorrect fuel/air mixture
- Air intake temp sensor - i would have though it'd still start, unless its sayings 1000degree's outside

Def not an immo issue , I would take it to someone with a better knowledge of diagnostics ie not just looking at what the codes say or don't say then playing parts darts with your hard earned it needs a right good scoping :)
