Friday!

oh well lads and chicks... the dreaded mot is on friday for my little sei, i got a health check done the other day and the results were looking poorly for the little runner! 3% water in the brakes , need new brake lines front to rear! new disks up front, new pads, o/s/f suspension strut as its leaking, o/s/r wheel bearing as theres slight play, rear washer jets packed in, and ive got no handbrake whats so ever, also have a slight leak in oil beside the differential.
anyway got my wheel bearing, suspension strut, disks and pads today and only came to a total of £76 (the joy of getting cheap parts working at a garage!).

i can fix the rear washer jet and the differential leak myself and the rest of the parts are getting fitted by a colleague. all less than half price fitting aswell...

but once everythings fitted the car will be mint. cant complain at say £200 for parts and fitting plus £200 for an s reg sei sporting, so all in all £400 for an s reg seicento sporting with a years mot and a rake of new parts.. im delighted!

just thought id share with you all...

Re: Friday!

I always thought FIAT handbrakes were for decoration only?

but if you have a rear wiper and a dirty screen the dirt rubbed by the wiper can damage the screen permanently so you need something to clean it with.

Re: Friday!

Since I have a Brava my rear washer/ wiper only works when it feels like it but hasn't caused any MOT problems. Don't think it's worth worrying about - as long as your wing mirrors are OK you don't need to be able to see out of the back of the car at all

That looks like it's in the original colors of Belgacom, the Belgian phone company. They used those colors in the same design when they changed from being the RTT (Really Terrible Telephone) to belgacom. Now they've changed again. HEY, isn't that a Wrong Hand Drive one??? Maybe is is from here.
