i like the fresh new look of the front of the punto, about time they made it look better.
One thing i dont like about the back,is the way they have tried to hide the exhaust pipe. Most new modern cars show off their exhaust pipes, like audi, bmw, etc
So why should fiat designers hide the punto exhaust,a nice black meaty exhaust
sticking out the back for all to see, gives the car a bit of character,
come on fiat wake up!!!!!

I want them to make another sporty panda, like the 100hp :D!

I saw the 2012 Evo in a TV ad tonight for the 1st time and I must admit it looks like a good improvement over the last, but I can't help thinking that maybe this should be the 1st Evo model and they should have left the original model as it was until now, with the possible exception of the Multiair engines.

I saw pictures of the new Panda in Quattroroute magazine when I was in Italy last year and liked it as a replacement for my own MJ which I'm going to give a good coat of looking at next year. One thing I thought was interesting was that in one magazine was a picture of a green car and in another an orangey Panda. So what? Well, the front lights were different, so were the door handles and quite a few other details.

In Car magazine this month Georg Kacher, who's been a correspondent for that publication for over 30 years, gave the Panda 5 Stars and wrote that he felt the chassis was under utilised and could cope with more power (100HP anyone?) but later in the article said the eco tyres didn't provide much grip on Neapolitan roundabouts. Looks like a change of rubber could be a good move then.

That Punto is in the new color Turquoise, paint code 326 which I think is quite striking. Anyone know the code for Ruby Red, another new Punto color?

Lools horrible I think! No way near sharp enough, looks like a loveable, friendly young girls car.

The previous GP's looked sharp, and aggresive, sporty even the 1.2 Actives looked reasonably good. Also hate the rear lights on it, look like aftermarket junk.

Panda looks crap too!

Sorry FIAT, the Evo was bad and you certainly haven't improved here. I'll have my original all day every day.

New Punto. Test rode a new Punto (not new model) on Monday. Nice car but I could not live with all that plastic dash. They offered me silly money for my 07 MINI One so we walked away.

I agree with the critisism's of the new Punto. I'd have prefered the badge on the grill rather than stuck on the angled part but i suppose if they hadn't put it where it is people would think it's just a Grande Punto.

Of the three (Grande, Evo & Punto 2012) i like the Evo the most. The exterior of the Grande is the most complete but the interior quality is woeful. The Evo looks less sharpe outside but the sports models (GP/Sporting) look good and the interior/reliability is far better than the Grande. Hopefully that'll apply to the 2012 Punto, but they've gone abit soft & cuddly on the outside for my liking. I'd save for MiTo or get an Evo instead.

The Panda, however, looks good. Pat on the back to Fiat for that one.
