A few days ago, i tried to wind my rear window up only to find it wouldnt work. The handle would bearly turn and the window seemed like it was being forced. I eventually managed to just about get it shut but it nearly broke it. The handle is now not in properly either.

Im thinking about takin the door cover off and have a look myself before I take it in to get fixed but I dont know how to actually get it off.

Can anyone help me?

If i cant actually fix it myself then has anyone any idea of how much it would likely cost to get fixed?

Any info would be a great help.

Thanks

Having forced it you might need a new winder mechanism from a breakers yard.

Take off the trim panel and check the window sliders. The handles etc are all held on by hidden screws. Some have pop-off covers others are underneath. The trim panel is clipped on, you need a wide blade lever to pop it off the door frame. Inside you will need to peel off the plastic film to get at the mechanism. Always repair it the plastic afterwards or the door trim will get damp.
