my friend and i have decided to start a project that got left for a while.

we had a 1.4gt turbo but the chassis was quiet crappy and need alot of repair. so we took every single part off and scarpped it. now we have bought a lovely new 1.6 sporting chassis and started putting all the gt parts on.

but we was wondering if when changin the engine to the 1.4 gt turbo one if it just a cause of putting in along with ecu and wiring loom or if any setups have to be made

the new chassis is still a punto mk 2 same as gt turbo

The easy answer is transfer EVERYTHING from the GT and the electronics etc wont know anything has moved.

BUT your Sporting needs its own body computer (BC) to drive the ABS and airbags. That BC almost certainly wont work without the original engine engine ECU. You might be able to get an aftermarket engine ECU that will work with your turbo engine and Sporting BC.
