hi

new to this so bare with me. fiat doblo 1.9 03 plate not the turbo variety.
started having problems with it few months ago when cold it seems to start up ok but engine management light stays on and when i push the accelerator down engine doesn't rev up and there's no power. if i then turn the engine off and restart it it works ok for the rest of the day (can cope with that) now it's started cutting out for no apparent reason doing 70 on the motorway few weeks back and the thing just stops engine management light comes on and battery light and the thing just stalls. wait on the hard shoulder for 20 mins start the engine and it works just fine. but now its doing it the whole time runs for a few miles cuts out i wait and it starts up and i carry on. have had it serviced but it still did the same thing. fiat put in on there diagnostics and said that it's the fuel pump quoting me £1600 to rectify the problem. just wondering if anyone as had the same problem and if it could be anything else. thanks
