have to agree here they are very good, went up there today to get things for a seicento they have ****e loads of fiats in there alot of yellow puntos too lol

Punto 55s in B & J Greggs in Endmoor (near Kendal)

black cinq sporting in Bell's Breakers, Bishop Aukland. driver's seat immaculate with no wear, actually full interior is, even steering wheel. 3 good alloys left too (i stole the 4th already ) plus the other sporting bits.

its a good place, not the cheapest but it has to be the biggest scrapyard on earth. they must have hundreds of cars, and even better they dont stack the cars on top of each other. the only bit i dont like is climbing the ladder up to the portacabin in the sky. muddy shoes and metal steps dont mix, and if you fell from that height you'd be very dead.

i said to the guy there yesterday "even dick turpin wore a mask!" he didn't seem over impressed, but its handy cause it only round the corner from us

hi i have PUNTO MK1 1108cc looking for any bhp boosting tips or places to buy anything. and if anyone knows if the punto mk1 1.6 will fit in easily on the same engine mounts. also any decent srap yeards around county durham? thanx mark

um bit off topic, but the 1.6 is a crap engine, the 1.2 16v has more power.

theres a few scrap yards on the graythorpe industrial estate near hartlepool with a fair few mk1 puntos in, one had a elx i think, if thats a help

its a clunky old dog 8v, cost more to insure and tax than a 1.2 16v.
but the 1.2 got more power and more mpg, i think the only thing the 1.6 has going for it is a bit more torque.

Try contacting 600M on sfconline, he is one of the moderators on there. He owns www.wolfdirectracing.com , he knows a lot of fiat people and may be able to steer you in the right direction. He is rebuilding the front of my cinq abarth at the moment.

Been down bridges today and there were the usual raft of Puntos in various states including a black sporting with the head missing from the engine so probably taken as a cheap performance upgrade for someone, some Bravos and Bravas, Saw atleast one Seicento (red), a Blue Cinq and the remains of a Yellow Cinq Sporting, probably only good for a couple of doors, whole front end gone.

I also noticed a Chevette which looked to have a good interior, Mk1 Fiesta, also possibly a Maxi. Probably all scrapped for rust but none looked awful, shame all are classics.

Also noted an Alfa 164 with the 3.0 V6 badge on the rear. Couldn't get the bonnet up easily though..
