| Something happened when I was driving my Brava a couple of months ago, and Im just wondering if anyone can shed some light on it. It was a wet morning, after driving for about 1 minute I was waiting in traffic and the engine started reving by itself, it was at about 2 and it was flickering all over the place. So I drive off and the engine is still reving weirdly, then next thing I know the engine cuts out. I tried restarting it and it kept reving up and and then cutting out. The AA came out to rescue me an hour later and it started fine. No problems since then but its been bothering me. Anyone else experience this? Brava 1.6 ELX R reg

| Re: Weird Problem.... sounds like damp, or some other underlying gremlin. I dont have a brava but from previous cars i have had, problems with either the temperature sending unit or the oxygen sensor thing in an exhaust (in a rover) have resulted in similar experiences. Get one of those mobile diagnostic guys out of yellow pages to have a look, costs about £20 and they always find out whats wrong then either tweak something and it works fine or they tell you what needs replacing.
