chipped ecu anyone?

Due to me writing off an spi sei is anyone interested in a chipped ecu. It will work with SPI Cinqs and Seis just a simple 5min swap over. It disables the immobiliser which I think can be reset a a fiat garage.
Although I did not have the car rolling road tested the increase in torque and top end pull was noticeable as well as being smoother.
I have now got an MPI ( with abs so i shouldnt write it off) - has anyone chipped one of these?

Also for sale rear parcel shelf- offers

regards

Grant

Re: chipped ecu anyone?

registering interest in the ECU, i know someone who wants one but isnt around on here much

what software has it got on it, ie - who did it? is it a soldered type or a non-soldered type and how much do you want for it.

Re: chipped ecu anyone?

Hi

I sent away for the chip from a guy on German ebay who sells chips for all sorts of cars. His feedback was nearly 100% positive and all reported good improvements so I thought why not as it was a lot cheaper than supechips etc. I think he must get Novitec chips copied in the far east. Anyway as the chip in my Sei was soldered I bought a Cing plug in ecu fitted the new chip and swapped the ecus over which was only a 5 min job.

The increase in power although not massive was noticeable throughout rev range . The best thing though was that the engine seemed a lot smoother. I think it was also a bit better on petrol ( when not using the extra power)

I would take £100 for it inc postage.

Re: chipped ecu anyone?

Still the same price as I dont want to mess around breaking the seal and pulling the chip out. I would settle for £80 though. What do think to the Mcritch chip? - nice guy - he took the trouble to give me details how to fit mine as I had bought it before I found out he did them.

Re: chipped ecu anyone?

i rate it very highly, but my mate has a sei and so needs a cinq ECU before he can chip it.

Would be interesting to see how the chips compare, do you know if the chip you have will work on a 1242?
