bought my car 2 weeks ago and ive been putting off updating the owner on this international security register, but I decided to get it out of the way tonight. £25 to update the details making me the registered owner of the car...theyre having a laugh arent they?

Is there any real benefit to being on this register? all I can see at present is that it "deters theifs"

Thanks
Nick

Never even heard of it, can't see how it would deter anyone

You havnt got the stickers on the side of your front windows do you, that say the cars linked to the database, and if youve just bought the car, you'll be contacted within two weeks? ;)

tis all boloks fiat dealer computers are not linked all around the country so how can it work

Its not something thats done by Fiat, its a seperate company that handles it for all the manufactures. look at a renault or ford with the sticker some time, its the same phone number
