FIAT Dealers - how do they compare?

Does anyone have any statistics on how FIAT Dealers compare to others like Ford, Toyota, etc

I've found them to be few and far between, always fully booked, always very expensive and also pretty poor service.

Ater having bought 3 Puntos (purely cos I liked the car) I'm thinking that ater having so many problems with my latest car that considering the overall company care policy and dealers will play a big part in my next car purchase.

Any idea what averages are in the industry for servcing costs, etc copared to FIAT?

and don't even think of using their parts men - I think they are chosen to be as stroppy as possible ...

20 May 2003: "Toyota to create 1,000 jobs in UK
The Japanese car firm is adding 1,000 jobs at its factory in Burnaston, Derby as the factory moves to 24 hour working." - doesn't that tell you something?

I am definently with Richie, Grays in Warwick have always been superb with me even when I gave them so much grief. When my HGT went wrong the first time, they even got Trading Standards to contact me to see if they could help my case!
George, the service honcho is a gem! Shame that Dawn has left there now - the best salesperson ever.

Ryauto were also brilliant when I bought my 156 but they have had differing reviews from other people.

Can speak highly of Olds Fiat, Dorchester, Dorset where spares are concerned. The two partsmen know how to use the computer and actually know what they are talking about.
Cannot comment on service/repairs as I have never had any work done there.
Rgds.

Dawn has gone to work for the National Blood Donor service. After years of being taught how to take the piss by Fiat she has moved onto blood! I already miss her ;)

Was at Grays this morning buying parts. Paul was extremely helpful even though I wanted bits for three different cars and three different receipts. Give them a ring on 01926 496236. Paul and George are your men!

Hylton's in Worcester are good, cheaper and a lot more freindlier than my local so called fiat dealer.
Only thing is i have to make a 40 mile drive to get to Hyltons, oh well

Nige - Ryauto (Oldbury) have now changed to 'Arnold Clark' but are still helpful.

But the bestest Fiat dealer I've found is G.B. Ongaro, in St Just-in-Penwith, near Penzance. Their website is http://www.ongaro.co.uk and you really couldn't wish to meet a nicer bunch of people. :)
