why is fuel so expensive????

i bought my van with a factory conversion and it cost no more than buying a diesel version, the price is going to go up in 3 years time? lol yeah how much with petrol/diesel be by then?

its your choice to buy expensive fuel just like it was my choice to use lpg at 49p litre, i dont even look at the price of petrol and diesel when i drive past a filling station and i couldnt care either, lpg has been around for years and years and has always been less than half price and will always be.

go on keep moaning about the price of petrol and diesel lol

No No No.
It's all Gordon Browns fault. By pricing cars and lorries of the road and planes out of the air. He can engineer an economic meltdown in Britain. Because the price of fuel isn't a problem in the rest of the world.

The reason Gordon Brown wants this to happen is that he is really a super villan. Sent back in time from a future where a member of the general public knew all they had to do was force suppliers to drop the price of petrol to 50P a litre and abolish road tax. For Britain to return to the paradise it was just 15 years ago.

:ROFLMAO:

Well put Beast (y)

If only more people would open their eyes and see there's a LOT more going on with regards to worldwide fuel prices...

Honestly people there is no conspiricy. The government is not out to get you.
This is the world of supply and demand and there is no changing it, and there is no one person to blame. If you really think you can blame a single person you really have not got a clue whats going on and it might be better if you went to live with the nurses for a while.

Keep them away from me - I don't want them on my ward! :p

The price of oil has been coming down, but the pound / dollar exchange rate has also been fluctuating. When oil was $150 per barrel the exchange rate was $2.00 - $2.10 to £1. Oil has come down but the exchange rate is something like $1.70 to £1. We lose out because of the exchange rate now but, when oil was $150 per barrel we were slightly cushioned by the exchange rate. I know it didn't feel like it at the time.

whatever price they will be by then, that is roughly the price LPG will become. the govt have said that from the start, the tax break is only meant to last until 2011.

do you think the govt were joking when they said the tax relief will only last until 2011, or are you expecting some kind of extension in 2011?

Probably he's always banging on about LPG. The reason its seldom in use (200ish vehicles for sale in the UK on autotrader!!) is that its crap. Aftermarket conversions are even worse.

yes its crap because it costs 49p litre and saves me loads of money, 360miles to 25quid, yes really crap isnt it. my astravan has been faultless no problems whatsoever it drives exactly the same on either gas or petrol so yes gas must be really crap.

i better buy a diesel instead then because lpg might double in price in the 3 years time, lol

I was putting the emphasis on aftermarket conversions you numpty. With them your really lucky if you ever get it to work right and thats with a 5-10mpg decrease.

Glad your happy running around in your VAN. Unfortunatly I have a live, friends, and a daughter and wouldn't be seen dead in a pile of crap like that for everyday use.

yes but by 5-10mpg is a bit much. And usually a lack of power too.... Numpty!.

my van is rated at 2bhp less on gas so yeah a big lack of power, and 5mpg less? lmao its less than half the price so easily makes up for it you numpty.

are you just slating lpg from what you have been told by someone else or have you owned a car which ran on lpg?

end of the day lpg is far cheaper than petrol and it saves money thats a fact
