i had a knock at my door this morning from a lady she had hit my punto she admitted fault so i wont have to pay but from my drivers door right to the bumper are dents and scratches.

i got a question as well i have a small dent on my bonnet and 3 small chips and i have 2 scratches one on my passager back wing and one on the back arch have you got any ideas how much it would cost to get that fixed i thought well my car has to go in any way so might as well get it all sorted at the same time.

at most places they will be happy to fix all the damage and charge the other person's insurance company for it, even if the accident only caused half the damage. no one will ever know, and its more money for them, so its not hard getting them to say yes. all you have to do is ask.

i was once refused, so i went somewhere else. as long as your insurance company dont force you to use a certain repairer then you'll defo be able to get it all repaired at no cost to yourslef.

Be careful. my dad works for an insurance repair shop and they have had plenty of people do that which was just enough to tip the car over the "write-off" price. so bare that in mind

a writeoff isnt a bad result at all because you buy the car back cheap and get it fixed and still have loads of cash left over. if an insurance approved repairer says it will cost £1000 to fix, you know you can get it done for £250 elsewhere so imo a writeoff is the best outcome.

The lady wasnt stupid IMO, maybe careless or distracted but she DID own up.... Fair play to her I say...
