hi-am looking for some advice- I have a R-reg fiat seicento-my first car am about to take my test-so its all new to me
I dont use the car every day because i cant go out alone yet-
anyway sometimes I go to start it and the key code comes up and wont start the engine- if i leave it for an hour it starts!!-then other days it starts first time
I phoned Norris borthers who cant see it for a diagnostic till end of next week,but after reading a bit about them in here I am not sure I want them loking at it...the guy said it could be a immobiliser problem,or a sensor on my steering??...help??

the 3 main culprits are:

1. the aerial around the ignition switch needs a wiggle on its wire.
2. the codebox behind the dash needs a wiggle on its wire.
3. the immob's fuse holder in engine bay is rusty.

all 3 are easy things you can try yourself.
