Hi,

Considering replacing my Mk 1 sporting with a mark 3 (black grille) 1.3 Multijet Dynamic. According to Parkers, the Dynamic has remote central locking, however the 2 keys the dealer had did not have a button on to unlock remotely?

Can someone please clarify exactly what keys I should expect should i p/ex to this vehicle - 2005 Dynamic Punto? (i.e I currently have a "red key", 2 blues, one of which has a button to unlok the doors.)

Many thanks

thanks toad101,

Must admit, didnt check the other side of the keys - 2 blues - was thinking would be a bigger key (well handle bit) and a smaller one - as with the mk 1.

Parkers state that all Dynamics have rcl - however have not found them to be the most relaible in the past.......

Will give them a call in the morning and find out............

how ar eyou finding the 1.9jtd?

I have a Mk2 JTD HLX (which was replaced by the Eleganza in Mark 2B form) & that has one remote key & one non-remote key.

The Mk2 ELX which the Dynamic model replaced only had standard central locking with no remote & i think the Dynamic model is the same, so therefore 2 non remote blue keys sound right to me. I suspect you already know that from Mk 2 onwards, the Puntos don't have the Red Key as they use an updated (Code2) system.

I don't use the remote for my car as the button very easily activates the locks & ive found myself unlocking the car unintentionally when walking away from it, so it stays at home now!

Hope that helps abit.:)
