Hi all!

Yeeesss!!! After some years (too many for me...) a Fiat return to win a rally of C.I.R. (Campionato Italiano Rally- Italian Rally Championship)...in this 20th-22th March on 26° Rally del Ciocco!

This year C.I.R. is without WRC, but there is a fierce competition among best super 1600: Fiat Punto [8D], Peugeot 206, Renault Clio and best Group N: Mitsu Lancer, Subaru Impreza STI...

Basso has brought his Punto to victory, Andreucci with another Punto classified third because a puncture in the 14th ps of 19, when he was at the top, slowed down him...

Results 26° rally del Ciocco:
1. Basso- Dotta (Fiat Punto Super 1600) a 2h15'53”2; 2. Travaglia - Zanella (Peugeot 206 Super 1600) a 24”2; 3. Andreucci - Andreussi (Fiat Punto Super 1600) a 52”6; 4. Galli - D'Amore (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VII) a 1'48”8; 5. Aghini - Roggia ( Peugeot 206 Super 1600) a 1'53”2; 6. Longhi - Fappani (Subaru Impreza Sti) a 2'32”4.

Champioship after two rally:
1.Galli (Mitsubishi) 30; 2. Basso and Andreucci (Fiat Punto Super 1600) 20; 4. Fiorio (Subaru) and Dallavilla (Fiat Punto) 15; 6. Longhi (Subaru ) 12; Cunico (Mitsubishi) and Aghini (Peugeot) 10.

I don't know if someone is interested in these things, but there are a lot Fiat and Punto fans in this forum, and maybe someone could apprecaite this notice...

Ciao! :)

Roberto

ps
Is there someone keen on rally?...

Bloody hell, if only all punto's looked like that! Hey Richie - yours has a Broom Yellow base and is normally covered in dirt - even after a car wash he he!

I like the subtle ABARTH on the front air dam.
