I am completely dismayed with FIAT and FIAT Customer Services.

I have had a big row with one of there representatives a Slough today and as usual they deny any responsibilty for their products!

I've told them how many people I've encountered who have also been unhappy with them but they say that they have no evidence of unsatisfied customers.

So, if you have any complaints or have experienced poor customer service from either FIAT dealerships or FIAT UK please post them here, when there is enough 'evidence' I will print all your complaint off and post them to FIAT UK Headquarters in Slough and see what they come back with.

Please keep it clean as I intend to send this entire thread as an official document, you can be as angry or annoyed as you like though!

Thanks.
TC. :D

I can understand your frustration, but you wont get anywhere doing this! It was done by members of the club for Micras when so many had grief with the new shape Micra, myself included. We got no where with Nissan at all. Im afraid that us little people have no clout with big companies like car manufacturers. Unless hundreds of people did this then you may as well not bother. Sorry to put a downer on it but thats how the world is, no one cares!

Ok i hate to say this (especially if this is going back as an official document to fiat as this will be on there lol :p) but this is not the right way to go about it, im sure there are official ways of dealing with complaints and this to be completely honest will not do much as we are just a percentage of fiat owners across the uk let alone outside of the uk. Hope this doesnt start too much of a war but things need to be dealt with by FIAT's complaints system and not like this.

Cheers,

I dealt with one of their senior managers today and his attitude was really bad, (mind you, he was a Pakistani and he had that Gansta West Indian type dialect) he didn't give a fig about my complaint which I logged two weeks ago and they didn't respond to, and it's the above attitudes that make the manufacturers complacent, if you don't care and are already beaten, why should thewy care? They know they've won! [xx(]

then skip that level and speak to a more senior member of staff, there has to be someone further up the chain that does care, logic states there must be :)

Yes you've just got to keep hassling them unfortunately - we know they don't care they're only interested in selling cars because that's where they make their money.

Of course it seems to me that (and to be fair this goes for most manufacturers these days) if they gave a good customer care service and just fixed the problems quickly it would cost them less in the long run and benefit their reputation and therefore car sales. They don't seem to see it that way though but I do have one piece of advice if you want good aftersales service buy a Skoda they're fantastic! Anyway...

My view is that unless every single person didn't buy fiats, fiat parts etc they won't do owt about anything cos when you withdraw your custom some other poor unsuspecting bugger walks into a stealership.

So unless the heads of Fiat do a Ratner Stylee speech they will continue to make cash and give honest folk the runaround with allsorts of ****.

What is your complaint TC?

you need to contact the manging director of Fiat UK, have a look on the what car site for his address. I did this with Nissan, and got some results in the end, but be persistant.

My Fiat complaint is quite simple.......I DONT OWN ONE ANYMORE! :D

"mind you, he was a Pakistani and he had that Gansta West Indian type dialect" is that a reason for someone being bad at their job - because thats what the sentence said to me...! You cannot pinpoint someone's race or dialect/accent as key to their (apparent) Shortfalls.

TC - you have just lost my entire support on this issue.

yes Fiat dealers might not be the most helpful people in the world but they try, and they have delivered each tie I have dealt with them.

dont know for sure but if it is anything ike wot I have experienced trying to order things in my line of work, there is far too many links in the chain for a truly efficient service. yes it could be better, but so could so many things in the world. Get over it.

And I agree with everyone else - go the proper way about dealing with complaints.

I don't see anything wrong with what TC said - I would never be racist but if you get a guy you can barely understand then the customer service is not good.

It's just like saying "It didn't help that the bloke was deaf". No problem with him being deaf but if you can't communicate properly then it doesn't help matters.

But TC was referring to his attitude. Therefore implying that pakistanis have bad attitudes.

I dont wanna start an argument here - it is all pragmatics anyway...

I see your point but I don't think TC was trying to be racist in any way - I think we can accept he was reffering to this man's attitude rather than that of all Pakistanis.

Samtimmons

Just to clarify my point, I am not racist, I am Italian myself so I'd hardly vote BNP would I?

My point is, when I phone up a customer care line, I don't want to be spoken to with someone with a bad attitude and a false West Indian accent, you know what I'm sayin man, who is clearly a Pakistani, it pisses me off, the same way that when I have called other helplines for example I have been directed to a call centre in India, to someone who's accent is so broad I don't understand a word, it's not customer care and it's not good for the company concerned! I want to speak to someone, who has product knowledge a nice telephone manner and someone who has a full understanding of the English language and can articulate themselves, would you go into John Lewis'to buy a £2k TV and expect the salesman to start speaking to you in gangsta rap style, I don't think so!

You have completely mis-interpreted what I have said, thanks DR Pepper by the way, at least you read what I was trying to say correctly!

TC.

I agree with TC here, Norwich Union have call centres in India, and they have terrible product knowledge and do not understand you and cannot even spell! Apparently Fiat Financial Services are now in India...|)

My local dealer seems okay. But does the parts department carry any stock? Everything ive bought theyve had to order, even a thermostat.[?]

Yeah, my dealership is the same, I think in these times of financial hardship the dealers only get stock to order, they simply can't afford to hold thousands of pounds of stock, I'm sure my parts man Iain will post up an explanation on this topic! :D
