Post Your FIAT Complaints Here!

He said since I had bought my car in 2007 I am not entitled for a free road assistance where as if I had bought my car in 2011 they would have given me free road assistance!!!

You car is 5 years old! Roadside recovery only last 12 months (originally it was 24) so you have to buy roadside recovery yourself which most people have,
You can't expect a company to cover a car that's 5 years old?

Can you repair the pipe in any way?

Regarding Fiat themselves, if you speak to Fiat customer services and lodge a complaint with them I know for a fact they liase with regional managers and the local/nominated dealer.

Nice in theory but in reality Fiat will likely always hover around the bottom in any survey for customer care, JD power etc

My only issues with my Panda are the understeer (easily solved with some decent tyres) when wet and when I drive with the roof open at speed bug spatter from the front roof fold end up inside the car. Bleaugh!.

Apart from that she's perfect.

Hi all,

I have had one of the most bizzare experiences I could ever think about and just couldn't believe that a company like Fiat or Tata motors can do this. I have 2007 model palio stile and it broke down in the middle of the road due radiator top hose leakage due to which the coolant had come out and the vehicle stalled. I call the so called Fiat helpline and this guy threw me the first bomb shell when he said he somewhere in a place from where he can't come and attend my car. Then I call the Fiat india toll free number who gave me a road assistance number who wanted Rs.1500 to two the car for approx 4 kms I declined and asked him why am I being charged the reply was a really funny one. He said since I had bought my car in 2007 I am not entitled for a free road assistance where as if I had bought my car in 2011 they would have given me free road assistance!!! agreed and I moved on to take the car to the FIAT service station in chennai, here comes the second bomb shell and a good one. After moved by a wrecker from TVS we bring down the car from the recovery vehicle and I approach the service reception bay in VST service station. The lady at the reception says they have stopped servicing Palio and I have to take the car to another service station called Tafe Reach. Since the car is not drivable I ask the recovery guy to move the car again to the other service station he polietly refused to do the same and moved. I find the Tafe reach number in google because VST is living in another world where they don't have any numbers. OK finally I call Tafe and explain him the situtation, I didn't realise that I was talking to a dumb guy until he came back to me and told me that they will accept the car only on 6th of July (this conversation is happening on 26th of June) I told him am not talking about a general service but a break down service he just explained his helpless ness and disconnected the call. Today is 7th haven't got any solution from the team. I have mailed each and every contact in Fiat india and Fiat italy but except one reply from Fiat customer care international haven't got any support from Fiat.

I have decided to go to court and show people how these companies make us choose what cars we should drive. I have been loyal to Fiat and love Fiat but no choice I have to say good bye now.
buy a pipe, fit pipe, refill coolant, job done

then think how lucky you are Rs.1500 is £17. in the uk if you had no breakdown cover and need a tow 4kms it would cost Rs 12,875.54

I am completely disappointed with the Manager at the Fiat garage at Doncaster. My fiancé purchased a Fiat Punto a few ago and we are still dealing with him trying to sell us insurance. She's been told to come in and sign the correct documents but they keep delaying it. It's beyond a joke now and it's coming up to her first transaction and we have still not settled the issue of no insurance.

I have a panda 2012 twin air turbo. The stop start has not worked for 10 months.I had a service at stoneacre Grimsby and asked them to sort out.
They reported that no fault was found and that the battery just needed charging. I bought a smart charger and charged the battery. What do you know the*s/s still did not work.I rang them and was told to take it back in not bad with a 80mile round trip. Took it back waited 2 hrs in there reception. The service guy came to me and said that the technician had checked it and found no fault. He had test driven it and it worked perfectly.I had a test drive with the technician he got it to work three times out of 8 attempts. he then waffled on that the stop start would not work if the windscreen wipers were turned on or the heater fan. He also said the the fiat stop start was inferior to other manufacturers. Can anyone tell me if 3 out of 8 stop start success rate is normal. By the way it has not worked since I collected it from the garage.
I felt like i had been in the company of a load of conmen.

usual questions;

did you buy the car from "group stock" or was it YOUR order from the FIAT Factory? group stocked batteries are bad from 1st registration- due to months of inactivity.

how much do you drive?, would need 30 / 40 mins+ in any 1 regular journey.

I'll wager after a 2 hour m-way journey it'll work perfectly.

mine always does after a good run,
Charlie Punto TA 2013 - stock vehicle = compromised battery

got it from group stock. tried long journey no effect does not work .

but the problem moves on. Rang dealers again and told there is nothing wrong with s/s. The service manager admitted he had driven the car and could not get it to work. But that the s/s will not work all the time. he then listed all the bull**** reasons. windscreen wipers, heater fan, etc as previous post. I then rang stoneacre head office and was told they would sort out. The aftersales manager rang me from stoneacre grimsby. He said that the s/s would not work if it was damp outside, he also said the battery charger had to be a calcium smart battery charger. when i said i had charged it prior to taking the car in he said i should have left the car idol with the door locked.? He admitted there was a battery problem but said if he changed it ,it would only last two weeks. According to them and there list of reasons the s/s wont work.I am surprised it ever works for anyone.

The problem seems to be Fiat Customer Services don't have any authority to resolve a complaint, they are dependent on other Fiat departments who do not communicate directly with customers.:bang: We have had quiet a few mechanical issues with our 1.6 diesel Doblo. The dealer won't do anything unless Fiat are paying for it, or the customer, but certainly not the dealer. We have a 4 year old Fiat Doblo and current mechanical break downs after 28,000 miles and 6 services include: Water coolant system reputure, gearbox, brakes, drivers seat, wing mirrors.

I took demo Fiat lenia top model. When I asked for servicing for the same car, the executive said that it has already done by us on 15000 km but when I have checked in service menu it shows that the service has been done once only at 3300 km. Car has giving the average of 12km/liter please check and solve the same urgently

Hi, is there anyone who knows how to get in contact with Fiat Italy. I have a problem with my camper van. There was a problem with the gearbox wich they had to repair under garantee. The problem, the garage, official Fiat professional garage, damaged the hood. I then confronted the garage owner and he said he wasn't present when the camper van was under repair and instead he went away and sent me his mecanic..with a crap story. Strange because when i went to an other Fiat garage they confirmed the damage was done while repairing, they even put this on paper . So I contacted Fiat Customer care but it seems with corona....they try to choke my complaint. Greetings from Belgium

I find Fiat customer services ok. But Fiat themselves, advertising the 90hp Panda Waze across the EU 18 months after the 90HP engine was withdrawn takes more than a bit of swallowing. And no it was not just an internet glytch Mr Fiat. By any account anyone who was affected was short changed by a large sum. I wrote to the head of Peugeot and the Head of Fiat and the UK Head of Fiat and called them a lot of things, in writing to see if they wanted to see me in court. As you might expect they declined to react which rather says it all. I did get financial compensation but Fiat forced my dealer to pay out 75% to cover their shady trading practices. FIat CS have however alwways been friendly and helpful with more easily resolved issues.

I wouldn't trust Fiat at all. They cannot be believed and you should check carefully anything they say. Its a shame as I very much like the design and drive of all their products. Best not buy from them at all, but go used or nearly new then you look, and buy what you see without reference to their dubious sales information. If you have a Panda Waze be assured its NOT a 90hp engine.

It goes without saying that all theEU car makers are as bent as a £9 note. My son has had thousands out of Audi for the emissions scandal. If there are any car makers who were not on the band wagon please someone stand up for them. With everything else in life, when you can see something wrong you can guarantee that theres 10 more things wrong you cant see! If the EU test facility was worth the space it takes up the blatent and fraudulent cheating they all perpetrated would have never got past them! Perhaps they too should be paying compensation.

I have lodged a claim against Fiat re emissions cheating for my Bravo. The only reasoin I did this is because of the dishonesty selling me 90HP car without a 90hp engine. I loved the Bravo and it was exceptionally clean, and did not smoke and the inside of the tail pipe was virtually soot free and the mpg exceptional. I hope they get fined and forced to compenstae so I can donate the money to charity. The £15,000,000 I estimate that was paid by panda waze drivers across the EU for engines they didnt get will easily pay the fines and some justice may actually be done.

What the cheating was about I cannot guess, but it was more honest that suggesting Panda Twinair could average 57mpg. WLTP now says 37mpg which is sensible and achievable without effort. Advertising standards agency have been pointed in the right direction but couldnt be Ar*** to do anything much to my annoyance. Another quango that should be disbanded I think.

Oh, and yes Mr Fiat my next new car is more likey to be a Suzuki than a Fiat. As a prolific new car buyer you will loose out!

then skip that level and speak to a more senior member of staff, there has to be someone further up the chain that does care
Good luck with that one. The staff on the phones are great the managers less great and the people at the top *****!

I will print all your complaint off and post them to FIAT UK Headquarters in Sloughotoring

I shouldn't bother. Its a waste of ink and paper. Write to the BBC and the Motoring press and ask for help as its much more likely to work. Get published in a prominent mptorong. Mag it will do far more to embaress them to action.
