Alloy Question

Ok so anyone know the rough weight of 1 Bravo HGT 15" alloy with a 195/55/15 tyre on it, only got damm fancy scales at home and wont weight the thing properly or me and the alloy as wont give a steady reading.. ie anywhere between 10 and 25Kg! Which i dont beleive!

So if someone could help me out that'd be great just a rough reading of a similar sized alloy.

Cheers

Re: Alloy Question

Use a plank on a pivot, in the middle. Put the wheel on one end, the exact distance away from a pivot as a large bucket on the other. Measure out 1 litre amounts and pour into the bucket. Wait until the bucklet lifts the wheel off the ground and voila, accurate to around 1 kg. Of course each litre = 1 kg.

Re: Alloy Question

Sometimes it's all you have and it's always useful to go back to basics.

Quite right... but still spending the afternoon building a wooden seasaw might be a bit of waste of time, although it may have to come to that.

Re: Alloy Question

Well I am by job role, so it's it irrelevant if doing that would make me an engineer

Re: Alloy Question

OK so alloy +tyre weighs in at 15.3Kg not including packaging... which means say 65Kg courier needed for 4 packages. Anyone know of any cheap ones?
