Whats the best thing to use to trim a number plate down a tiny bit?

im guessing its just acrylic really? but be careful not to snap it or damage anything etc?

Just need to make it a bit narrower (n) and not sure how to go about it :(

router? dremmel? :chin:

i would be worried about the plastic, but rather the sticky reflective bit, as that might tear or peel off, and then never look right :(

best option (if access) is a band saw with a fine toothed blade. if no access, ive trimmed acrylic with an upside down jigsaw with a fine blade and a friend to help, takes a bit to get perfected though! :p

done this on motorbikes more than once, and every single time the backing started to come away a few weeks after you do it. then its an mot failure and looks crap.

my advice, get a number plate made in the correct size. most online sellers do a wide variety of sizes, or even a custom size of your choice.

My smaller plate going on for time being (proper size one is ~1/2 a inch too wide... going to get a machine shop to have a go at this for me, but failing that i'll stick to smaller one for time being i think :))
