A friends brother took this photo after they got pissed off with people parking and blocking the entrance to their workplace...

I questioned it too, I reckon they extended the driveway and didn't want to pay for the dropped kerb, so now they whinge when people park there, but the post it's made me laugh :)

Of course you have the right to park outside your own house!.,.,
i think i'll do theat to the car thats always parked outside my house.,.,lol

You have the right as does everybody else...you don't own the road outside your house!

i had a great bust up with an old guy on that once.posh street where i parked my car.there were no cars on the street as they all had drives but he took offence to me parking on the street!
course it was there for 3 days ;)

I am sure it could be annoying if you live on a really busy street with no space, but unless it's resident's only they you can't say anything about people not living there parking there.

Its one thing if your parking as a one off thing, but its common courtesy to ask permission if your gonna park outside someones house everyday.,.,
My neigbours always ask if were going to be parking there before parking themselves., we have 3 cars and can only use the 2 spaces outside my house so we'd ask them also if we could park in there spot.,.,

I don't consider it to be common courtesy and I am quite a courteous person. Nobody has a right to the road outside their house solely....

i get hacked off by mums parking outside my house when they go to the school nearby. open their doors onto the uno etc. really hacks me off as we need all the space outside our house to park so if someone parks in the way their is nowhere for us to park. they also block our drive enterance. so i always park the van and my mum and dads car mega close so they have to do a million point turn to get out. and its the same cars all the time and they only live up the bastard road! lazy mo fo's!

Dunc

Best thing I saw was in Corby. The police had put out no stopping cones along the service road so that trucks could get in and out of the yard. The local pond life decided to move the cones, park up and put the cones the other side of the cars so it looked like the cones were put there after they had parked. It's no fun trying to park a wagon when numpties do that so I reversed the wagon into the yard and left the cab sticking out at an angle.

My other favourite with access is to put the wagon so close so they can't move the car. If they argue, I take my time off loading:devil:

Its that attitude that invites key marks on you paint work.,.,
I live right in the heart of the city so parking is very busy and if you come home to find some fu*ker keeps parking in your spot you bount to be pis*ed off.,.,.

what "attitude" are you talking about? the one where on a public road, you park your taxed, mot'd and insured vehicle legally? other than clearly designated private land, etc, there is no right to park there just because it's in front of your house.

and i would say this, you'd be the first to squeal like a little child when someone challenges your "attitude" when you park in front of their house and they key your paintwork, just as you posted, but then you'll be screaming for their blood won't you?
