Totally gutted

My own stupid fault really - no one else to blame but myself Was in too much of a hurry for my own good. You think you know it all, and think you have endless grip that'll last forever - but that's bo**ocks.

I thought when I approached the bend that I was going too fast and that it could be a struggle to get round it. But I figured if I held my line and tried to shift the weight to the front a bit to try and get grip at the nearside front end, then that'd allow me to hook round and get the back end to follow - just didn't work out that way.

The speed was too great, and the momentum was too much. The front end held and for a while it almost seemed like everything was going to be ok, but then the back offside broke away and the forces carried me straight into the wall.

Apart from the hurt pride and feeling of utter stupidity, there's the physical pain to deal with as well. Hurt my wrist (was lucky not to break it really), whacked my leg a good 'un, and bashed my head as well to top it off. Ross - sheesh - when I told him what happened, all he did was shake his head and sigh in disbelief.

It'll take me a while to get over what's happened. I won't deny it shook me up a bit and certainly the physical pain will remind me reguarly that there is no such thing as ultimate grip.

That is absolutely the last time I ever, ever, ever run down the stairs at mach 3, warp paced, breakneck speed, and take an utterly impossibly sharp left turn into the living room, on hardwood flooring, to try and catch the end of a TV programme that I've only just remembered is on. Physics just do not allow for such a manouvre to happen. It's a miracle the door and door frame are still in one piece.

I hope everyone on here can learn from this most painful lesson just as I have .................

Was worried too, spun the Novahunter three huge times, all I'llsay is thank good for big wide roads.

This incident is far more common place, is the tread on your socks more than 1.6mm?
